4TH WALL BREAKING: Original character; doesn't apply! However I do ask that your character does not recognize his PB. If he/she is familiar with Jake Gyllenhaal's face, feel free to just have them notice a strong (or vague) resemblance. THREADJACKING: Keep it to the strictly necessary minimum. BACK THREADING: Always and forever.
MIND READING: Your character is free to do so. Bass does not have any outstanding mental shields (yet), but keep in mind (ha) that Bass doesn't take it too kindly to having his secrets spilled out. Hypocritical, I know. LOCATION SENSING: Go for it. TELEPATHY: Go for it too! SPECIAL/MAGICAL ITEMS: There is a number of specific, rare objects and spells that can affect Bass very, very badly. Please check with me if you think your character can use one of them.
FIGHTING CAPABILITIES: Though he never had formal training, enhanced strength and reflexes packed with a few decades of fighting for his life make Bass a pretty nasty opponent. INJURY: I'm very open to Bass getting beaten up, but not without prior discussion. WIN/LOSE/TIE: Ditto. MEDICAL/PHYSICAL INFO: tba
ROMANCE/RELATIONSHIPS: There's some potential. SEXUAL RELATIONS: More likely to happen than romance. PHYSICAL CONTACT: Intentions are a factor, but the answer should default to yes.
ANY TRIGGERS/SECRETS/FACTS YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT: Bass eats people. That's gross.
TELEPATHY PERMISSIONS HI PLEASE FILL THE FOLLOWING FORM THANK YOU character name and username: can Bass hear their thoughts?: why (if not)?: Tell me about mental shields, any conditions that make their thoughts unreadable, etc. any warnings?: if you think your characters' thoughts may be a little overwhelming or dangerous, or if there are subjects you absolutely do not want him to pick up on, this would be the place to tell me what they are!

robb stark;
irene adler;
hikaru sulu;
can Bass hear their thoughts?: yes
why (if not)?:
none of them have any sort of mental shielding. robb however, is a warg and connected to his direwolf in ways he himself is unaware of but will probably be obvious to someone checking out his mind.
any warnings?:
i gave you a heads up on the warg stuff so i think we're all good here!

can Bass hear their thoughts?: everyone but ward is fair game.
why (if not)?: he's an NPC. creepy mental blankness for everyone!
any warnings?: n/a!
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: Only when she's not in Grace (i.e. possessed by God). (She's usually not in Grace)
why (if not)?: When God possesses her body it's impossible to hear her thoughts - it's like hitting a massive, very dense wall.
any warnings?: None!
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: Yep!
why (if not)?: Both human so no mental shields!
any warnings?: Brendan's thoughts will stray to missing his wife and daughters a lot, so there's that sad little piece of mindleak Bass can catch drifts of? Dean's thoughts, however, will not be so family-friendly. When he isn't thinking about how screwed up his own family situation is (brother newly sprung from Hell and mother who used to be dead are walking around the ship) he'll be thinking about Hell. Dean spent 40 years in Hell so he has a very accurate and very vivid picture of it in his head. Oh, and he tortured people down there for the last 10 years down there so that can get a little graphic and overwhelming sometimes too... :')

can Bass hear their thoughts?: go for it
why (if not)?: doopdoop
any warnings?: Although Jaye is a shapeshifter and cannot speak while in animal form, her thoughts in animal form are still very much human. So just... PUTTING THAT OUT THERE idk

can Bass hear their thoughts?: yes!
why (if not)?: (n/a)
any warnings?: none! Hatter, despite being Hatter, isn't exactly mad per se but Bass might wonder why the dude is thinking about the works of Lewis Carroll so much. also tea.
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: Sure!
why (if not)?: N/A
any warnings?: There's a monster hiding in there somewhere, though for the most part it won't put up a fight unless you start to probe really, really deep. It doesn't think a whole lot to begin with; it's mostly limited to desires to kill and eat, so if anything it would come up as a sudden flare of aggression that doesn't seem to jive with how Asato acts as a whole. Other than that, everything is fair game!
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: yup
why (if not)?: Stats still has his original brain from back when he was a tall ship, so it'll be a little more difficult and tiring, although not impossible.
any warnings?: Stats has nothing to hide. He's lived through a horrible war, though, be warned.

can Bass hear their thoughts?: yes!
why (if not)?: na/a
any warnings?: alayne stone suffers from a very strange conflict of inner identity, where she identifies as alayne stone, but where parts of her "actual self" (sansa stark) sometimes peek through. there is also something (extremely suppressed) that is somewhat feral about her. the way the names alayne and sansa are tossed around in her internal tl;dr should give you an indication of whom she "is" at any given time, or how those portions are sort of fighting inside her. she lies constantly but is herself convinced of those lies (so they're truths from alayne's perspective) but from bass' perspective they probably still come off as self-delusion.
also, alayne's identity is a secret, though bass is welcome to pick up on it. if he mentions it, however, she may freak out. i'd like to avoid mentioning it in a public forum, if that's possible (filters or in person is okay, though).
character name and username: aberdeen |
can Bass hear their thoughts?: yes, but with difficulty.
why (if not)?: aberdeen is able to hear everything within a certain radius of herself (handicapped by the tranquility to a smaller distance) but she has been specifically trained and undergone mental conditioning to be able to both handle and process the amount of literal 'noise' in her head. it is readily available to any telepath but it is extremely hard for someone not used to dealing with that cacophony to deal with. however, given aberdeen's exposure to telepaths, she also knows how to 'clear her mind' when she's being mentally poked. if she is ever made aware that bass is trying to poke around in her head, she may 'quiet down the room' so to speak for his sake.
any warnings?: see above!

can Bass hear their thoughts?: yup!
why (if not)?: nope!
any warnings?: n o p e !
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: Yup!
why (if not)?: N/A.
any warnings?: None for the most part! What might be notable is that Soysauce is very open and honest -- his thoughts often reflect directly in his actions. Very friendly and sincere.

can Bass hear their thoughts?: y
why (if not)?: n/a
any warnings?: all subjects are free for reading! there's a possibility that when the blood-lust is on him that stefan's mind will be overwhelming... lately he's been working on controlling it so this may never become an issue at all, but AT HIS WORST his human/rational part just completely blacks out and he goes on a killing/mutilation spree. idk how that would affect bass but i'll let you know if it ever gets that bad. :]
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: yes
why (if not)?: n/a
any warnings?: Anything you want to pick up is okay! But his reaction to finding out someone is sifting through his thoughts will probably be violent. He is a murderous jerkface, so he has a lot of nasty thoughts passing through his head and it's probably not a nice place to hang out.
no subject
can Bass hear their thoughts?: Yes & No (see below)
why (if not)?: I don't know how familiar you are with X-Men in general, but Erik comes with his helmet, which is essentially telepathy proof (at least for X-Men canon). I figure at least, that part extends to Bass as well, that if Erik is wearing it, he wouldn't be able to read his mind (Provided you're okay with that). THAT ALSO BEING SAID, he hasn't worn it lately, though it might change pending in-game circumstances and when I thread I explicitly state he's wearing it, otherwise you're free to assume he isn't.
any warnings?: A lot of Erik's internal dialogue, which sometimes depending on the context of the thread I provide in terms of bracket are focused solely on his relationship with his canon team, the issues of his childhood (e.g his past, Holocaust stuff, etc) and angsty stuff. I'm okay with all of that coming up, but just as a heads up that if Erik finds out about Bass reading his thoughts (especially with regards to his childhood) he'd resort to keeping the helmet on around him. We can work around that if it gets to that point and flesh stuff out o/
